a nice bit of pasture to ski down

I shouldn’t have had that extra ½ pint last night. We were able to drive further up the mountain today and found a nice bit of pasture to ski down. It was raining at first but gradually turned to snow. It was very hard work, walking back up the slope every time but good exercise. Roll on December and open ski lifts! Chris plucked up courage to follow me straight down the hill, which was exhilarating. I reckon he’ll be as good as me after a few weeks (that won’t be difficult). Chris was hoping to go back to England for a few days between now and Xmas but there are no cheap flights available and of course, there are the strikes both at Stansted and Turin airports. So we went on line and he has got a return flight in January for 2p plus airport tax!!

Tonight we went to see the film ‘All or Nothing’ with Timothy Spall. It was well acted but a rather slow and depressing. The French here probably think that all working class people in England live like that!
